Is Hawaii, is not Hawaii

I had this awesome dream about “Hawaii”. I mean, it was a completely fictional bizarre take on Hawaii (for all I know), but it made the place just seem fucking magnificent. Like walking on the beach, you could actually physically feel the earth below exuding this feeling of peace through you. And there were bears and other more strange creatures that would run through the buildings we were in, and no one really paid them any mind. It was perfectly ordinary to have wild things running through and flitting about in the spaces humans called their own. There were a couple instances with little winged monsters that appeared, freaking me out, and I was gonna try and kill them, but then I realized I didn’t have to, even though that was how I was used to interacting with these things. And the ocean was just huge and amazing and people took me around and taught me all kinds of things about how they lived.

There was another dream sandwiched on the end of that where I was suddenly on the east coast, on some random beach on Long Island with my friends from high school. And everyone kept asking me how I had gotten there so quickly, cause they all knew I was supposed to be in Hawaii. There’s a possibility I was in both place at once, or that I was projecting myself to be with them, while I was truly in this mythical realm of Hawaii.

We were in one of those buildings by the boardwalk at the beach, where they serve food and stuff. Except it was also like an airport. And for some reason, a few people were on rollerskates, and then they started acting out a big musical number from a movie I didn’t really know, although everyone else seemed to. Then we went outside cause we were gonna smoke a joint. And it turned out KRS-One was giving a concert outside, but we missed it.

But yeah, Hawaii… the oceans on both coasts… the animals running through everything. All seem very significant.
