More counting down…

Tonight I got a haircut from Catherine, in preparation for my departure. Another thing off my list to do before I go. Get rid of some of this hair as I get ready to move south to warmer climes. Although Baltimore isn’t much warmer at the moment, but after that, watch out! She tried to give me a New York-style hipster haircut - which, arguably, looked great - but I had to nix it for something a little more utilitarian and non-descript. Sorry Catherine.

Ah, what else… I put four grocery bags of old clothes into a donation bin on the corner. Most of that stuff was more than a year old, probably pushing two. Lots of work clothes from way back when I worked in an “office,” plus some other shit I know I’ll never wear again. More than half my wardrobe, really.

I’m trying to download that Outkast song, SpottieOttieDopalicious. I hadn’t heard it in a long ass time until the other night at a bar. Doesn’t he pronounce it more as “spodie-odie” rather than how its spelled? I believe so. Anyway, I recently came across the word “spodiodi” in On the Road, and discovered that it means a kind of drink, which is a shot of port wine, a shot of whiskey, and another shot of port wine, which one of the characters describes as being a sweet envelope to put the harsh whiskey into. Of course, I don’t know if that has anything at all to do with the song.

I guess tomorrow it’s back to work. Huzzah!
