this is a drawing i just made from my dream the other night. this is those figures i saw on a graveyard on a hill, who i knew were the “king and queen”. i knew that i had been supposed to pick them up and take them with me. but by the time i found them, there was no more room, and i was carrying the boat. the idea that they were in new orleans sticks out in my head. i think because of the above ground graveyards they have down there… and also, in their shapes and detail work, they looked like what you see in mayan art, although i didnt draw any details in here - cause i wanted to keep the image open enough that my mind could fill in details from the dream - like having this drawing as a container for the memory, rather than trying to represent it precisely. when i started drawing them sitting there, i realized that it looked a lot like they were wearing stone space suits.
