An interesting news item from a few towns over where I grew up on Long Island. Apparently, a man who was being initiated into the Masons was accidentally killed during his initiation ceremony. Seems they mixed up a fully-loaded gun with the one containing blanks which they were supposed to have been using. The obvious question, of course, is (1) why were they shooting the man with blanks in the first place, and (2) why in fucking hell would they have had one gun loaded with blanks and one loaded with bullets if they knew from the start that the ceremony involved fake-shooting a man? This story seems HIGHLY suspicious to me.
