My brother and I are planning a trip to Toronto sometime soon. Here’s a calendar of events and shit. Will have to come back and look at that later. And another one… I had such an awesome time when I went to Canada with Drew a couple summers ago. Goddamn, it was great.
We’ve also been talking vaguely about moving to Canada for a while now. I think the cause got a bit of a boost recently when my bro took a dance class with some group from Montreal and really dug it or something. So now that issue is sort of back on the table, at least for now.
But I got’s myself thinking about it again. I remembered reading this article last year about discontented Americans moving to Canada. I also remember looking into this emigration points system that Canada has. I haven’t found the actual site again yet, but I have found a few other things to look at.
Also, here’s a thing about Quebec history, and the migration of nearly 1 million French Canadians to the US between 1840-1930, which is when a lot of my ancestors suppposedly came here in the first place. Maybe it’s time we go back. Or maybe in a couple weeks we’ll have forgotten all about it. We’ll see.
