Whoo! I’m taking the plunge - downloading and installing PHP/MySQL/Apache so I can set up a development environment on my computer, for the purposes of upgrading my website to high holy hell. I’m a little leary of stepping back into the programming world after so much time outside of it. But whatever. From what I remember, PHP programming is super easy. And anyway, I’m just gonna try and set up a content management system and let that do all the work anyway. But that’s most-assuredly going to take some finessing. Wish me luck though, cause these sorts of installations can be hellish if you’re not familiar with the development environment - never mind if I chose poorly and picked a shitty program package. Ah well.
