Anima & Shakti
Somewhat related to what I was talking about earlier in that post about soul-mates, etc, is the idea of the Anima or of the Shakti. The anima is the Jungian concept of the female image within the male, which acts as a mediating force between the ego and the unconscious. Shakti is from Hinduism, and is the female form which complements - and ultimately powers - the male forms of the gods.
While looking around for more info on this, I found a sort of interesting article for occult practitioners, called
The Creation of Anima-Shakti. It’s by a guy named Phil Hine, who seems to have an interesting website which I’m gonna look through in more detail.
Damn, this guy has tons of interesting articles. I just read a good one on possessions. Also, coincidentally, he has an article about Durga, the Hindu goddess who I’ve been considering getting a tattoo of.
