Tank you so much for making us a sovereign nation
Does anybody else kind of wonder if Bush, Inc. partially pulled this switcheroo on the Iraq “sovereignty” hand-over in order to steal the lime-light away from the wild unexpected success of Fahrenheit 9/11?
Cause that’s immediately the first thing I thought.
Although, that idea to pre-empt probable attacks on that day also makes a good deal of sense. You know what really gets my goat though? Is that of the one hundred and fifteen million news segments I’ve heard about the hand-over on tv and elsewhere, nobody addresses the most pressing question:
How can you be a sovereign nation while your country is occupied by the military of another nation?
That pretty much ensures, in my mind, that you AREN’T a sovereign nation. Especially when your installed puppet leader is already tied in with the military and the CIA (which they even reported on the evening news - as though it were nothing).
Anyway, I would just like to know who in the hell this “transfer of power” is really fooling? I’m guessing lots and lots of people.
Another funny spot I saw on the news last night was from Afghanistan. They said something about how Afghanistan is having “free elections!” Yay! Let’s all hold hands across the world! But guess what the accompanying video clip was while they talked about “free elections” there?
TANKS!
They showed lots and lots of tanks. Rolling by. One after another. And soldiers. With machine guns. They didn’t even bother to make footage to convince me there were really even elections. It’s like, they could have just found a clip of Afghanis standing on a bread line (or on a line for medical treatment or for electricity or clean water) and then pretended like they were actually on line to vote. No! Instead they just showed TANKS! Lots of tanks! Free elections, under the watchful eye of TANKS! Of course, that makes sense. Cause that’s what freedom is. TANKS!
