Man, some of these junk emails have really cool lines in them. I guess they are just randomly written somehow, in order to fool spam-blockers, or something. I’m not really sure. But some of them really border on awesome poetry.

I like to imagine that instead of these being written randomly by machines, that they are actually written by some frustrated unknown poet in some basement somewhere. Just toiling away, and getting maybe like 50 cents per each one of these spam emails that he writes. It’s really kind of a glorious image actually. Actually, I think there is a short story on Oblivio about something similar to that, but with porn spam.

I wonder who exactly owns the copyrights to texts in spam emails. Because these emails are probably illegal somehow, and does that violate the rest of their rights? Plus, the companies who are doing this don’t exactly put their names on these things. They are routed all over to cover their tracks.

So maybe I should put together an anthology of poetry culled from spam emails. Seems like a great idea.
