Another thing, related to the previous post. Have you ever heard this thing, where scientists say that the light that we’re seeing from stars is actually millions of years old? Like, these stars are so fucking far away from us, that it takes all these super long light years to even reach us.
But we just end thinking, “Oh look, these stars are twinkling.” When in reality, these stars may not be twinkling at all anymore. This is just an echo of the distant past, which we mistake for existing concurrently with us. What are these stars doing right now? Are they sending out new light? Did they since explode or fizzle out? We won’t even be around to ever find out.
What if this is some kind of metaphor for what’s really happening in our lives? Are we actually at some distant point in the future, experiencing what we think is “now,” but which actually occurred millions and millions of “years” ago? Metaphorical years, of course.
It all sounds vaguely similar to pre-destination. But it’s the opposite. Like, these things aren’t set out from inception, but now that they’ve happened, they are all arranged as they occurred. They are all artifacts of a consciousness which passed through matter. Or something spooky and abstract like that.
Man, if I had some drugs right now, it would be ALL OVER! Shit… if my brain is already thinking of shit like this, who knows what would happen if I turned up the volume. I’d start phasing through matter or some such…
