You know what are two of the absolute stupidest tactics which I see people use all the time in online arguments? Well, here, I’ll tell you them. I see these ones perpetrated all the time on craigslist:

First is when somebody makes a point, and then at the end of it, admonishes the reader to “Think about it!” It always has to include that exclamation point at the end as well. It’s really one of my “pet peeves,” when people write that. Think about it!

The other one is when they will make some kind of long elaborately incorrect rambling statements, and will toss in a “Have you ever heard of _____________?” Usually it will be something totally retarded, like “Have you ever heard of donuts?” or “Have you ever heard of turtles?” It’s like, yes, I’ve heard of all these things and more. Jesus… Often this one will include multiple ?? at the end. “… turtles???” Also stop asking me if I was alive when something happened, especially something that happened only a couple years ago. Just make your fucking point, and then leave me alone. Have you ever heard of shutting up?? Think about it!
