AdSense ad targeting very poor

When I first installed the AdSense program from Google about a week ago, I was pretty pleased, because the ads were pretty well targeted. And now, all of a sudden, they seemed to have dropped off. And now it’s totally hung up on serving a couple ads over and over again for pole vaulting. I realize that it takes a little while for the pages to be indexed, but in the meantime it’s THEM that’s squandering an opportunity. Nobody is going to click on irrelevant ads. Hopefully they realize that and will be improving it. I’m hoping this is just a temporary problem, due to the sudden influx in customers which they had by unveiling their services to bloggers for the first time. I certainly hope so, because when it’s targeted, I’m pretty satisfied with the whole thing overall.

Here’s a thread on a message board about people with similar AdSense taget problems. Seems like plenty of people have it, but that there’s no real solution from a customer perspective. Dissapointed with Targeted Adsense Ads. Has anybody out there in readerland recently implement AdSense?
