Yet again, the FDA has issued a warning about how Prozac and other anti-depressants cause suicidal thoughts and tendencies in children. This info broke into the mainstream media months ago, made a small splash and then disappeared rather quickly. I wonder why?
Could it be because pharmaceuticals are A GIGANTIC EVIL BUSINESS, and that it’s “bad press” for people to find out that their products don’t work? Not only that they don’t work, but that they actually promote or deepen certain types of behavior they are supposed to amend? No, that’s probably got absolutely nothing to do with how little news coverage this has been getting.
You know what else really pisses me off to no end? How big of an “issue” prescription drugs has become in the so-called upcoming election. At issue, of course, is not whether or not our country is over-medicated and designer-drug addicted, but whether or not everyone in our country has enough access to prescription medicine. Shit, I even saw a “news spot” wherein an FDA spokesperson told us how “potentially dangerous” it is for consumers to try and get prescription drugs from Canada or Europe, where they are significantly cheaper. Their “expert” doctor insisted that “you never know what you’re gonna get.” They just want to ensure that their drug cartel isn’t upset.
