My aunt stopped Cat Stevens
So by now, most people have probably heard about this whole thing that singer Cat Stevens was put on the business end of the “no-fly” list in the US and got into all this semi-trouble with the Feds. Anyway, this is an interesting news item in itself, but then I realized where it all happened.
Bangor International Airport.
My aunt works there. Guess what she does. Last I heard, she’s the head of airport security. I’m not entirely sure if she still is. But there is an absolutely excellent chance that she was intimately involved in this whole fiasco. Actually, I sort of hope she was. She’s a pretty funny lady. And including her into this whole scenario changes it from nefarious to hilarious. At least for me. Until I find out I’m on the no-fly list also… that is.
UPDATE!
I just found out from my mom that my aunt quit her job maybe six months ago, so she was not involved in the incident. I’m sorely disappointed.
