I just sent the following email to Gmail customer service:

hey guys! i have two features i would love to see in gmail. its a great service, but these two things would make it even better.

(1) is that there seems to be no way to send an email to multiple parties, except by typing in their names. what i’d like to see is when i open up my contact list, i can select multiple people, and then send to that group. right now, the only action i can take upon a group of contacts is to delete them. this makes no sense. the last thing i would want to do to a group of people on my contact list is delete them. the first thing i would want to do is to send stuff to them

(2) I wish there was a way to delete attachments, separate from the emails they are connected to. right now, i will get a long email from somebody, with important stuff in it, and then they (or i) will tack on a photo which is not very important. in the interest of preserving space, i usually delete mails with unimportant attachments. but its unfortunate, because i also lose the text content in those emails.

in any event, keep up the great work. thanks for kicking everybody elses ass at email service.

The first one on that list is especially important. That shit’s been annoying me as long as I’ve been using gmail.
