Kickass Propaganda Links
One of those media literacy sites has a nice list of links for studying propaganda. There’s some damn good stuff on there. I’d like to go through and document some of my favorites, and some ones not listed above:
- As usual, Wikipedia’s entry for propaganda is absolutely incredibly good.
- Also, the have a category listing of all their articles which relate to propaganda. Goddamned good. I love Wikipedia.
- Propaganda Critic is a really nice, simply put together site with some great overview information on propaganda history and techniques
- Propaganda in the Classroom - some basic ideas and lesson ideas for teaching kids about propaganda
- 10 Things Everyone Should Know About Propaganda by Nancy Snow (Also check out her Brand America article)
- Links from the University of Kent’s Center for the Study of Propaganda
- Wikipedia’s entry for Public Relations
- Wikipedia: Nazi propagandist, Joseph Goebbels
- Wikipedia: Cognitive Dissonance
- Wikipedia: Logical Fallacy
