One of Bush’s favorite tricks in this campaign seems to be to accuse Kerry of whatever devious negative thing Bush himself is responsible for doing. It’s really an excellent trick, because it takes the wind out of Kerry’s sails when Kerry finally gets around to attacking Bush for these things.
The latest one is that Bush has accused Kerry of using “shameless scare tactics” to get people to vote for him. I love it. The balls on that man must be as big as fucking watermelons. I guess that’s just how they grow ‘em in Texas (er, I mean Connecticut). Anyway, Bush is saying that Kerry is saying all this stuff about if Bush is “re”-elected there will be a draft and Social Security will get fucked. Hell, this seems like a likely course no matter which of these fuckwads lands himself on the Emperor’s Throne.
In this interview, Bush not only has the balls to say Kerry is using shameless scare tactics, but goes into this whole thing about terrorists fucking up our elections:
- Two weeks before the election, Bush said government officials remained concerned about the possibility of a terrorist attack to disrupt the voting. “We have no specific threat information. Otherwise we would have let everybody know. On the other hand we are on alert,” he said, especially because of the train bombing in Madrid before Spain’s elections.
“We’ve got to be mindful that one of the tactics of the enemy has been to attack during an election,” Bush said.
Hey, guess what America, that right there is an example of a shameless scare tactic. And if you’d like some more, um, just look back at any and every single thing that his administration has done or said since 9/11. But, the best part is that he’s going to “win” despite (actually, I mean, “because of”) all this, because people goddamn LOVE their fear.

On that note, Vladimir Putin has chimed in, urging Americans to “re”-elect Bush. Good to know the KGB is on board. [via Stop the Internet!]
ALSO ALSO:
Stop the Internet! also reminded me that Prick Cheney did exactly the same thing Bush just accused Kerry of. Cheney made that statement about how if Kerry is elected, then we’re more likely to face terror attacks.
