Ah, there’s nothing that warms the cockles of my heart more than people getting life sentences in third world countries for burning books. A Pakistani man, Mehdi Hassan, has been found guilty of burning a copy of the Koran, and is now headed for a lifetime in jail. Just wonderful. I guess it’s at least better than getting sentenced to be raped, which also happens there, evidently. Well, I don’t know that it’s better… what I’m trying to say is that there is some crazy crazy shit going on in that country.
