The Kansas City Zoo recently had a rather unusual break-in. A pack of wild dogs managed to enter the zoo, and attacked the small herd of gazelles there, killing 6 of the 8. Zoo officials managed to shoot and kill 2 of the dogs, netted another, and the fourth escaped. The remaining gazelles were moved inside to prevent further attacks. Apparently, this zoo had a similar break-in several years ago where some sheep were killed.
It’s crazy how when dogs go feral, they re-gain all their lost instincts and behavior patterns. There was actually one other wild dog attack I noticed in the news this month. A pack of at least 20 wild dogs attacked a group of people in Albania, injuring nine.
