Another Gmail complaint
You know what else Gmail should change? If you’re attaching a large file to your email, there ought to be a status bar so you can see the progress of the attachment, so you don’t have to sit there wondering whether its working or what. This is especially problematic on a dial-up connection. I’m surprised they didn’t include a status bar actually, considering the large file sizes it lets you attach. It violates one of the prime rules of interface design, that when a user performs an action, they should be immediately shown the results of that action. This is just a common sense rule to prevent users from performing duplicate actions, as well as just keeping them apprised of what’s happening in general.
