I like this list of universal human traits which I found via furl. There are a ton of them, some more interesting than others. Here’s some of the ones which strike my fancy…

    1. magic to increase life
    2. magic to sustain life
    3. magic to win love
    4. males engage in more coalitional violence
    5. childhood fear of loud noises
    6. classification of inner states
    7. overestimating objectivity of thought
    8. copulation normally conducted in privacy
    9. healing the sick (or attempting to)
    10. language employed to manipulate others
