Invention Submission Corporation

On the radio airwaves, I’ve noticed a tremendous number of ads for a company called Invention Submission Corporation. This is one of those companies that like they claim to help you develop and sell your invention ideas, but there are broad allegations online that they instead steal your money and then your invention. Anyway, I’m not so much concerned with possible fraudulent activity though, because listening to these types of commercials, its fairly obvious to me that these services are of questionable value. They feature ridiculous monologues like:

I like thinking about inventions, but what do I do next?

I’m ready to admit that there’s probably a small amount of people who run around thinking about inventions and wondering what to do next. But is that number really so high that these companies can afford to play ads on the radio all day and all night long? And then never mind the late night tv ads. It’s mind boggling. I feel like if there are so very many people at large inventing or potentially inventing things in their basements and living rooms, the world ought to be a much more lively and varied place than it is right now.
