For some reason today, the topic of Fabio came up, and I mentioned how my favorite thing about Fabio was that time he was riding a roller coaster and got hit in the face by a bird and disfigured. My brother had never heard of it before, which surprised me. So I decided to look it up and find some pictures. I guess it happened about five years ago at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, VA. He was riding the then new Apollo’s Chariot coaster, when he was hit in the face by what is said to have been a wayward goose. The goose died, but not without bloodying up Fabio’s chiseled face significantly. This site has one close up picture of his bloody visage, as well as a further away shot which shows all the women around him, some of whom are totally laughing at him.
