The Oval Office: America’s Vagina

I don’t remember what lead me to this, but a symbolic/mythological interpretation of the Oval Office just popped into my head. Namely, the similarity between it and the symbol of the divine feminine. In the west, this is the vesica piscis or the mandorla, and in the east, it is called the yoni. Basically symbolizing the vagina (and/or sometimes also the womb) and female power it’s most frequently depicted as an oval with pointed ends.

In Hinduism, you’ll also see a yoni stone, in union with a lingam (penis) stone. This symbolizes the divine union of the male god Shiva with the goddess Shakti. From their union is said to arise all things. Taking this concept and looking at the mythical idea of sacred kingship, you could say that the ruler of a country is mystically “wedded” to it. So maybe the Oval Office being the symbolic center of the Presidency actually fits into this whole idea of yoni-lingam union, and that the “divine” power in the country flows out from there.

Not only is this symbolically and mythologically satisfying, but it also might help explain why our current President is such a “dick.” It also might mean that Bill Clinton was unwittingly acting out an ancient mystical drama when he “didn’t have sexual relations with that woman” in the Oval Office.
