A duckling born with four legs in Russia has drowned after its first attempt at swimming ended in disaster. The four-legged duck hatched at a farm in the Chelyabinsk region of Russia earlier this summer. Farmer Amambai Abdulin said it was fine when running around the poultry yard with the other ducks.

But when it visited a nearby pond with its siblings and mother for the first time, disaster struck. The Bashinform news agency reports the duckling paradoxically turned out to be a bad swimmer and drowned.

I found this while looking up ducks with four legs, which I once had a dream about, a while back. In the dream, they were called “haxturix“.
