Cultural Anthropology of Religion

Found a website where the textbook company McGraw Hill has some companion materials for their books. They have a book about cultural anthropology which includes a chapter on religion. If not their content, I like the way that this is organized, and it’s something I plan on ripping off once my own book is done.

For each chapter in the book, they have both student and instructor resources. I can’t access the instructor ones without a password, but the student ones are pretty decent. They start out with chapter overviews and learning objectives. They also have stuff like key terms, flashcards, web links, and additional reading resources. They even have powerpoint presentations too, which is pretty cool.

Again, their actual content I don’t really think is all that good, but the key thing is the organization and the sheer fact that they make this stuff available for free. From my perspective, this could be a really good tool for spreading my work, if I were to emulate it. I could put together lesson plans and study packets and all different kinds of shit, which would actually allow people to use as a basis for further research.
