People are so stupid. Somebody sent me this nonsense today:

I think the world would be a better place without you liberal you have no idea what you are talking about, oh by the way atheism is the biggest sign of stupidity i’m sorry to burst your bubble well i hope you burn in hell !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First of all, I’m not an atheist. Second of all, I can think of a lot bigger signs of stupidity. One of them is sending letters like this to strangers who you’re making incorrect snap judgements about. A second one is run-on sentences. Another one is using a ton of exclamation points to back up your so-called “arguments” !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually, I think I might write them back the following letter:

Dear friend,

Thanks so much for your letter. It really brightened my day. I think if each one of us could spend just five minutes a day sending poorly thought out unfriendly messages to one another, the world would certainly be a better place. Thanks for doing your part to keep us all “on our toes”.
