Canadian Vampire Trial

Apparently there is some high-profile murder case going on involving teens and vampirism in Canada right now. Here’s a link to an item on it on Yahoo. I know it’s not funny overall, since somebody was murdered, etc, but this one excerpt from the article about the vampire girlfriend is totally hilarious:

The accused 16-year-old, a self-confessed vampire, said he believed the girl shared his blood-drinking interest and that he was trying to impress her to revive their flagging relationship.

On the stand, the poised girl denied any interest in vampirism.

But like a ghost from the past, web pages uncovered with an Internet search this week came back to haunt her denial.

On one vampire site, she posted a detailed profile, now deleted, that listed her likes and interests as “blood, pain . . . cemeteries, knives,” and apparently offered several semi-nude photographs of herself.

Her favourite quote, she declared under the name “blud-lust” on another website is, “I put the laughter in slaughter.”

Ah, young love.
