Me gorilla see boobs now!

Here’s a weird story off the BBC site: two women who were fired from their position caring for the famous gorilla Koko are now suing their former employers. They are ostensibly suing for “alleged sexual discrimination, wrongful dismissal after reporting health and safety violations and outstanding overtime pay.” But the real kicker is that they are claiming that their former boss demanded that they show Koko their breasts. Actually, no, the way it’s told in the story is that Koko demanded it of them though sign-language. This was somehow supposed to help them bond with the animal. Or so it is claimed. The two female plaintiffs said they never complied with the requests which allegedly went something like this:

“On one such occasion, Patterson said, ‘Koko, you see my nipples all the time. You are probably bored with my nipples. You need to see new nipples. I will turn my back so Kendra can show you her nipples’.”

Here’s a website of Koko and the Gorilla Foundation, which is where these women worked. Not surprisingly, the lawyers for the Gorilla Foundation are saying this is all bullshit, and that these allegations are merely a publicity stunt to gain attention to their case. Well, I must say that it was expertly crafted.
