Story-Systems Blog Pre-Grand Opening

As per my post a couple days ago, I have finally finished putting together the coding and structure for my new offshoot blog, Story-Systems. Right now there is no actual content on it, but feel free to check it out and weep at my extraordinary ability to modify Wordpress templates. Also, anybody who is interested in finding an awesome blog publishing software package, check out Wordpress. It’s free, runs in a PHP and is a billion times awesomer than this Blogger crap I’ve been using. I do plan on eventually porting over this blog into another system (probably Wordpress), but won’t for a while because I’m more interested in generating more content than in doing administrative/technical stuff at the moment. Although maybe instead of porting over this old content, I might just make a clean break and start over at a new URL on my site. But for the anxious among you, fear not, as I’ll let you know if and when that happens.

Anyway, back to the topic at hand: this Story-Systems blog will feature a complete overhaul of all the stuff I’ve been talking about in regards to progressive comparative religion. But also towards extending the ideals of “media literacy” to any and all kinds of stories. And even more importantly than that, to look at how and why people build their lives and identities out of stories.

I will of course be continuing this blog while working on that one, and may cross-post things that are especially kickass. So there you go. I’ll probably post about this again when I actually have some content plugged in. Right now, I’m more just hoping to get a jump-start on search engine indexing.
