Last night on Coast to Coast, I heard an interview with Nostradamus scholar, John Hogue. Some of what he said was pretty interesting. He made an interesting statement at one point about Nostradamus’s so-called “Third Antichrist” and suggested, very very carefully that George W. Bush may actually fit the bill. The fact that the host George Noory also very carefully side-stepped that possibility is part of what lead me to write that post questioning just what the agenda of that show really is.

Based on Hogue’s website, it looks like there are a few different propecies of Nostradamus which may be applied to George W. Bush.

1. THE “W” PROPHECY: Did Nostradamus use “Dubieux.” (Doubtful One)
   to name president Bush by his nickname, “Dubiya”?
2. THE SECRET BUSH PROPHECIES UNSEALED
3. IS BUSH MABUS? (the name of the third anti-christ)

Anyway, the first of those links has a couple interesting things to say about Bush possibly being forced out of office, according to some things Nostradamus said, interpreted in a particular way. Hogue offers some pretty shrewd analysis, I think, even if you don’t buy all the prophecy hocus-pocus:

If the president were to fall from office in disgrace or die in office, his Vice President, Dick Cheney–his chief adviser for the neo-Conservative plutocracy–would step in as president. Look then to Cheney choosing a Vice President who will become the heir apparent of the neo-Con movement in the White House. Next, a health crisis with Cheney’s heart, true or fabricated, could see him step down as president or die in office. Thus Cheney’s Vice President, chosen for him by the plutocracy, could successfully run for office and perhaps lengthen their stay in power for another four to eight years.

A less seditious future destiny would see President Bush endure all crises and astrological curses to successfully finish his second term. Nevertheless, it is clear to me that Cheney’s plutocratic duty is to step down before the end of Bush’s term. Thus he will defer to a younger Vice President who will run against Hillary Clinton in 2008…

This seems like such a probable turn of events that I’d almost put money on it. Also interesting to throw into the mix is the whole Tecumseh’s Curse, which says that presidents elected in a zero year don’t survive their full term (with the exception of Reagan, who narrowly survived an assassination attempt).
