I always just assume that I’m that everybody experiences things like me: in particular, dreams. It’s one of those things that since you basically only have your own experience to go on, you tend to forget that everyone has different weird shades of what happens to them.

I discovered today that something I always thought was normal in dreams seems weird as shit to other people. Periodically, when I dream, I will be different people in dreams. Or I will be myself, but I will also be someone else. And the other person who I am overlapped with may change throughout the course of the dream.

This has been going on as long as I can remember. When I was a kid, I used to also have a lot more of the type of dream where you’re not actually involved in it, but you’re watching the action. Like a movie or something. But at some point, that trend diminished, and that only happens very rarely now.

Anyway, I’m curious to hear how many of you reading this experience that same phenomenon - particularly the one about being somebody else, or yourself grafted onto somebody else.
