Occult Podcasting
Yesterday I was approached by a small company that runs a network for podcasts to see if I wanted to put together a show for distribution on their network.
I’ve never actually gotten involved in podcasts before. Podcasting is sort of like an online radio service, except the user subscribes to particular programs. When new episodes of those program become available, they get downloaded onto your machine or iPod or whatever. Seems like sort of a cool idea.
Anyway, I turned down their offer, because it basically left all the work in my hands. I’ve already got more than enough to do maintaining this website, and writing content for my new Story-Systems site.
If I did have more time, and one or two people to help me put together and run shows I think I’d totally go for something like this. It could be a much cooler more underground sort of version of Coast to Coast. CtC is fun, but it is usually pretty vanilla for my tastes. We could get guests and cover topics that they wouldn’t touch with a fifty-foot freakin’ pole. Plus it would be cool to throw in a bunch of gnostic and counter-cultural stuff like you see a lot of at some of the folks in my blogroll, at left.
Anybody who’s interested in working together on a recurring project like this, start thinking of ideas and get in contact with me. Maybe in a couple months, when I’m done with the Story-Systems stuff, we could figure out a way to make this happen.
