Just came across a transcription of an online conversation titled “Discussion with a Gnostic on Jesus’ Resurrection.” It was written by somebody who is a Christian Apologist, from a website called CARM. Apologetics is the “branch of theology that is concerned with defending or proving the truth of Christian doctrines.”
The piece is not very long or very involved, but I feel like it portrays a pretty accurate depiction of your standard ideological interaction between a “regular” and gnostic Christian. It’s unfortunate that neither member of the discussion seems particularly well versed in what they’re talking about, and just end up squabbling over literalism - which annoys me to no end. But I do think the whole thing is actually rather instructive and worth checking out for people interested in the subject.
