I know attacking other people’s blog posts always leads to trouble, but this is just too over-the-top. I can’t not talk about it….

I just happened across some blog which makes the preposterous claim that Christianity is under attack in this country. This country meaning the USA. I know, when I read it too, I was like, WHERE THE FUCK HAVE YOU BEEN? They are so bold as to add the word “Protestant” in front of Christianity as being singled out for special persecution. Hello…? What?

Yeah, and just when you thought this couldn’t possibly get even slightly more bullshit, check out this “stunning” prediction for the next 115 years:

I believe that Christianity, mainly protestant evangelical, will continue to be subtly mocked by the elitist media for the next 65 years. I think it will remain subtle yet slightly increase up until then. Somewhere around 65 years from now the persecution of Christians in North America will begin slowly. At first it will be some kind of registration program with churches, and public churches will begin to be regulated by the government. Possibly some sort of religion tax will begin. Probably at first this will include most religions. For the next 50 years the persecution of “Born-again” Christians will be brought into more prominence. After this all hell will break loose as it already has at this point in most of the world, Christians will be registered and monitored heavily. Soon full blown religious persecution will be throughout the entire world. Christians will probably either be put into camps or killed not unlike the Jews during WWII. Eventually it will not be safe for Christians to live pubically anywhere in the world.

Actually this really isn’t my prediction, It comes straight out of the Bible.

Straight out of the Bible? What book? What verse? The Gospel According to Moron? The Bible, at no point anywhere EVER says any of that stuff. Jesus’s message had nothing to do with paranoid speculation. Religious tax. Right. I’m sure they will do away with religion when it’s one of the best most hot button surefire ways to control people. Sorry, but I mean, this couldn’t be any further from how I view the world, and expect the future to turn out. Especially not with all this asshole Dominionists openly trying to turn this into a fucking Christian theocracy. This person also references His Most Exalted Zombie Slime Lord From Beyond The Grave, Jack Van Impe, who is a real diamond in the roug - a beacon of hope and love for Christians everywhere. Fucking fuckballs. This just makes me want to explode in a shower of tiny little crucifixes. I’ll tell you what I think: if the end of the world IS on the horizon for us, it’s nonsensical thinking like this which will lead us all straight there.
