Received these comments today in regards to my comment’s on Sophia Stewart and satellites ruling the earth in 2010:

I think you might be taking Ms. Stewart’s comment “satellites are going to rule the earth” a little too literally. In the quote she is comparing the rise of the satellites to the internet, in that the satellites “will not be dominated by anyone.” Presumably, anyone or any group with money can launch a satellite. Therefore, like the internet, the media will not be controlled by any one specific group and we will all have access to multitudes of different viewpoints and artistic expressions through satellite TV. I think that’s what she means about a flowering of free enterprise and trade. Under domination of satellites I don’t think this would happen and perhaps this is why the interviewer didn’t press Ms. Stewart. From what she says it doesn’t seem as if the satellites will be a force of evil, only for “Hollywood”.

It’s admittedly less fun of an explanation, although perhaps more plausible. Honestly though, based on what I heard from Sophia Stewart, I really wouldn’t put it past her that she means something much more arcane and elaborate. Let’s not forget, after all, that in the same interview, she also claims that the Da Vinci Code is about her. I’m of course not disputing that claim - merely pointing it out.
