<description>While personally I agree with your "early Christian" or gnostic views, I wanted to point out a slight error in your argument. Different sections in the Bible, specifically Revelations, refer to Satan as "the ruler of this world". Now, this of course gets obscured by the belief that Satan must ask God for permission (story of Job) to do anything to us (which means that God controls evil?), but it is mentioned repeatedly, that Satan is the ruler of this world, and that "only through Jesus can one receive the Holy Spirit and thus have the necessary spiritual protection from Satan". This is not held by all denominations, but it is fairly common, and has its roots in the return of Christ mentioned in Acts. From a Gnostic standpoint, the divine spark, the Holy Ghost, is already there, but that is not a common belief among "mainstream" Christianity.

By the way, I heavily respect your site and devotion to gnosis, and you are somewhat of an inspiration for me. I'm currently working on a paper that takes A LOT of science, occult, "Cave" philosophy, religion, and myth (Star Wars in particular), and combines them all into an understanding, from my point of view, of the universe and its workings. I'd be very interested in your "experienced" feedback, and I think you might fight it enjoyable, even if you don't like Star Wars.

I'll probably send you a copy, if you want one, later this week (I hope to finish the 25+ pg paper soon).

Peace and Good Will
