Celebrity Tarot - One-Eyed Willy
Here’s the latest addition to my Celebrity Tarot: One-Eyed Willy.

One-Eyed Willy is named after the dead pirate who guards the lost treasure in the movies Goonies. It is also a play on the popular euphemism for penis, “One-Eyed Trouser Snake” - which One-Eyed Willy can also be seen to sport proudly. The snake in this case is also an oblique reference to the Serpent in the Garden of Eden which “tempted” Eve (in the Oval Office - America’s symbolic vagina). In addition, OEW also bears the phallic regalia such as the saxophone and the cigar. One-Eyed Willy (aka “Slick Willy”) stands amidst the mighty redwood forest, and he can be understood as the (perhaps overly) fertilizing male energy. In some ways, he’s the male counterpart to the Virgin/Whore. He’s also loosely related to the Wildman, who lives in a very similar forest. The little monster standing next to him is the cyclops, and represents the demon of the libido who may become destructive if left unchecked.
The card bears three other popular emblems of the monocular: the All-Seeing Eye of the Great Seal (familiar to Masons and the New World Order). Also, hidden as his belt-buckle is the flaming eye of Sauron from Lord of the Rings. And in place of the “O” in “One-Eyed Willy” we see the CBS television network logo - the watchful eye of Big Brother.
