I don’t know how I missed this last week when I was writing on Anarcho-Gnosticism, but Wikipedia has a pretty decent (though short) article on the topic of Anarchism & Religion. It has a little blurb about anarchism in six different world religions. Also, the version of this article appearing on Answers.com has a list of several other “Anarcho-” prefixes for religious thought. I guess traditionally, most anarchists claim to eschew religion in it’s traditional sense. Although I personally see this as a futile endeavor, especially for people who are so adamant about ideology. What is ideology except for a secular religion anyway?
