Seems there has been a follow-up recently to the story we saw last year about the Ebu Gogo. The Ebu Gogo, lovingly dubbed “hobbits”, was supposed to have been a miniature hominid found on the Indonesian island of Flores. There’s also some cool local lore (available at the link above) which says these creatures still exist today. On that note, Indonesian scientists have also announced the “discovery” of a tribe of pygmy humans living close to the same area. It may be an interesting correlary to the discovery of the Homo floresiensis, although some difficulties with it are pointed out here. In any event, here’s to cryptozoology!
