A week or two ago, somebody wrote me a really long involved letter (obviously a form letter) asking if I wanted to join some kind of anarchist group. The whole thing was really confusing. Just because you’re an anarchist doesn’t mean you get to not make any fucking sense. Nor does it mean you get so suggest ridiculous ideas like this:

Anarchists should also own their own satellites. Think of the excitement and inspiration the governments of the world have when they put satellites in the sky. Why shouldn’t the tradition of anarchism also have its own satellites.

How in holy hell would anarchists own, let alone launch their own satellites? This kind of thinking simply boggles my mind. I mean, this idea is just so stupid that I don’t even know where to begin destroying it…
