		<description>Well, a draft would be politically damaging to this administration.  Think of all those Bush supporters who, although they "support the troops", never imagined that they or their children would actually have to put themselves in harm's way.  How would &lt;i&gt;they&lt;/i&gt; react to a draft?  

There's been a lot of discussion about the political consequences of a draft at both Eschaton and Americablog.  It's not clear that anybody knows for sure what is going to happen, but I think Bush and Rumsfeld will hold off for as long as possible.</description>
