Presidential Prayer Kids
This is creepy as hell. It’s a website called Presidential Prayer Team For Kids - and it doesn’t seem to be a joke. Besides President Bush, it also asks you to pray for the head of the ATF and the Director of the Office of National Drug Control. Wow, this couldn’t be more fucked up. Check out a Bible verse they have right near a picture of praying American soldiers:
I listen carefully to what God the Lord is saying, for He speaks peace to His people, His faithful ones.
—Psalm 85:8
There’s also a weird picture of Egyptian slaves if you scroll down with this caption:
This illustration shows what it might have looked like when the Children of Israel worked as slaves in Egypt. It was very hard work and the conditions were very bad—and kept getting worse. Yet, after they had escaped, they quickly forgot the kindness of God in sending the plagues, forcing Pharoah to let them go. No wonder God reminds us to “Remember and believe!”
WHOA! The kindness of God to send the plagues? Yes that was so freaking nice of him. This website makes me want to crap in my hat!
Found this on the Rigorous Forum. It’s especially creepy in relation to all the talk of Ritual Abuse and kidnapping… Here’s the WHOIS info for the site - seems to be owned by somedbody named John Lind out of an Arizona address. Here’s some info on Lind from CBN.com:
The Presidential Prayer Team’s purpose is to encourage and motivate people to pray daily for the president of the United States, his cabinet, and America as a nation. A non-partisan, non-denominational effort, it exists in perpetuity for whomever occupies the Oval Office. It was established on September 18, 2001, and is in 125 countries through American business ventures, the military, and those of the world community who are concerned about the United States.
Ha ha ha. Set up for “whoever occupies the Oval Office” but seeing as only one man has occupied it in that time, I’ll wager it’s pretty closely linked to him. They also have radio broadcasts you can listen to. The whole thing seems to be part of another organization, the Presidential Prayer Team.
