Bowie’s Ex-Wife Says He’s An Alien

I love stuff like this. It’s about a tell-all expose written by one of David Bowie’s ex-wives. Unfortunately, it doesn’t which one or what the name of the book is. But it does drop this bombshell:

It appears, though she does say she’s “uncertain about it these days”, that ex-Mrs. Bowie thought that her husband was… an alien.

I don’t think I can quote extended passages unless I’m doing an official book review, but let me summarize. In all seriousness, ex-Mrs. Bowie proposes that this race of highly-evolved aliens (called The Light People) watch over the Earth, as it’s a sort of science project to them. These extra-terrestrials monitor the world for crucial moments in the progression of humanity, and have the ability to inhabit human bodies, thus becoming the people who’ve helped propel our species much moreso than the average person. She says Galileo, Newton, Ghandi, Churchill, Bob Dylan, John Lennon, and Jimi Hendrix were also all “lit from within”.

This is the sort of thing that might normally just get passed over by most people. But you know how I am about this shit. Immediately upon reading this, I thought of half a dozen other references which “support” this - if not “realistically” then at least from a pop culture mythology perspective.

First of all, Bowie started in a totally tripped out movie called The Man Who Fell To Earth. If you like Bowie, and you’re into weird shit, then check this movie out. In it, he plays some kind of weird alien who comes to Earth, pretends to be a human and sells all kinds of alien technological ideas to get rich. . There’s also some freaky-ass scenes where his wife (or girlfriend, I forget) discovers he’s an alien.

If that wasn’t a weird connection on it’s own, supposedly this is the movie which inspired Philip K. Dick’s novel VALIS. Actually, let me rephrase that. In the novel VALIS, the characters go to see a tripped out movie called “Valis”. The movie he refers to here is supposed to be a fictionalized version of Bowie’s the Man Who Fell to Earth. In the book, Dick realizes that the movie contains secret mystical communications, and organizes a small group to go and meet the movie’s creators - a famous rock star. The rock star eventually reveals that he’s - you guessed it - an alien!

Besides that I also did some other research about Bowie’s interaction with alien phenomena. And since they brought it up, John Lennon also had a legacy of purported alien encounters. I also found reference to a forthcoming book called “Alien Rock” by Michael Lookman which goes into greater detail about the rock n roll/extraterrestrial connection. If anybody knows of other good leads or rumors on this subject, I’d love to hear them!

I dunno. I mean, Jimmi Hendrix? C’mon. In this case, I’m inclined to dismiss the whole thing as drug-induced dementia.

we are asked to believe that christ was the son of god,or a god, sent to give us a message……that we haven`t got in two thousand years……..and yet we reject the idea that some people are actually aliens.there`s plenty more daft ideas that we`re asked to accept as a matter of course, that most wouldn`t think of questioning.i would be more suprised to see proof that there are no aliens here on earth.
and who`s dementia are you refering to?
