Rapture Debate Tonight

For anyone interested, I spotted a show on Coast to Coast AM tonight that I’m going to listen to. It’s a debate between two guys about the Rapture, and whether it’s a legitimate Biblical prophecy, or just something that people are out to capitalize on. The two guys are Ken Parsons and John Anderson. Looking at their websites though, I can’t say I’m terribly excited about the viewpoints that will probably be expressed. The first dude’s site has US and Israeli flag graphics at the top (I guess he’s the pro-Rapture dude). And the other guy seems to have some Christian books refuting the Rapture. Once again, it looks like a case of using two people with only slightly divergent viewpoints and calling it “diversity” (the old Democract/Republican game, except this time Futurist/Preterist - sorry that’s eschatological lingo). But oh well, it’s still an interesting topic, and I’ll give it a shot for a few minutes at least - if only to bolster my own arguments and figure out how to deliver them better.

it makes no logical sense to take a position based on something so unprovable.i think it`s weak-minded to give up control of you life for fear of some harsh judgement.to actually believe that you`ll be cast into the hubs of hell if you don`t conform to some narrow parameters of behaviour is laughable.morals and ethics are immersurably valuable in our society.we have so much to lose wthout them, but take responsibility for your actions as a part of society, here and now,the judio-christian stuff works applied in a lasse-faire way.piss off with the scare tactics.i`m not a child but i will act like one if you persist and you won`t like it.
(not you guys…….the harsh recriminator with the bony finger in my face.)
