Mind Control at Guantanamo?
Professor Pan has an excellent piece called Sex, Drugs, Mind Control & Gitmo, which goes into the question of what the real purpose of all the state-sponsored prison torture is - and it’s not to extract information. Tons of interesting stuff in it, although this particularly rings a bell for me:
A prisoner is shown a picture of a telephone. A psychologist asks him what it is. When he answers that it’s a telephone, the psychiatrist angrily responds: “It’s not a telephone — it’s a bomb!” What kind of exercise is this, and what is the purpose of it? The prisoners lawyer claims it has only one goal: to make the prisoner believe he is insane.
If you recall, the Scientology Training Routines make use of a lot of very similar mental re-patterning techniques, although the stated purpose seems to be to make you more sane, not less. Riiiiiight…

i had the conversation with my dad when i was six or seven about god and jesus, how i felt that it didn`t make sense that a man would send his only son to be killed to teach people a lesson.i still don`t get it. i freaked me that a man could actually believe that act was a good thing. would my dad do that to me?
i felt like i was being asked to call a telephone a bomb. you can`t expect to be trusted when you try to pull shit like that…………….

the demiurge. isn`t that latin for halfwit? maybe that`s why the mafia has a business built on the threats and promises of martyrdom(of thier children). they think they`re divine when they are copying the demiurge. the old testiment fuckwit who got pissy and killed whole tribes on a whim. not my idea of a role model.
