If you’ve never checked out the website NNDB before, you might get a kick out of it. Their tagline is “tracking the entire world” and they have short profiles of celebrities, government officials, and various groups. Good for conspiracy research and other more “normal” types of research. It’s still only in beta version though, so it’s probably not as complete as it will be.

It’s not open to any and all contributors though like Wikipedia and some other sources. Which is bad because it can’t get updated as fast. But it’s good because the information can be more controlled and doesn’t necessarily need to be as unbiased as Wikipedia.

For example, check out their profile of J.Z. Knight, nee Judith Darlene Hampton. Hampton is the personality responsible for channeling the 35,000 year old Lemurian warrior Ramtha, and the annoyingly successful spiritual quasi-documentary, What the Bleep Do We Know? Well, according to NNDB, we do know that Hampton’s occupation is listed as “Paranormal fraud”. Whether or not that’s the case, she’s certainly very successful. But did you know that if somebody else starts channeling your 35,000 enlightened warrior king that you can sue them?

In 1992 Knight discovered that a German woman, Judith Ravell, was claiming to also be in contact with Ramtha. After a three-year battle in the Austrian courts, J.Z. Knight won the right to exclusively channel Ramtha. The 1995 ruling was appealed, but was upheld in 1997 by the Austrian Supreme Court.

I can just imagine this case going in front of Judge Judy, the plaintiff screeching as she claws at Ravell’s eyes, “Keep your hands off my entity, bitch!”
