Ran had a funny bit on his website yesterday. Mainly funny because I can relate to it:

The worst thing about having a web site, especially one about what I’m doing, is all the people telling me what to do.

I come across this a lot as well. Sometimes it seems like when I ask for opinions and advice, people don’t give it (or at least don’t give what I was looking for). And other times, when I’m not looking for or even expecting the possibility of there being any opinions, they come pouring out like crazy. I guess it’s just the nature of the beast though, and you’ve got to either learn how to ride it or get trampled underfoot.
