There’s No Such Thing as Humans!
Max’s comments on the post about spirits include a really awesome item:
It is difficult for people to see and sense spirits, sometimes I wonder if it might not also be difficult for spirits to see and sense people
Perhaps human efforts to contact them seem like paranormal intrusions from their POV [point of view] as well
That’s awesome. And it reminds me of a story idea that I’m going to illustrate at some point. In the story, a little boy follows the ghost of his dog that was run over down into Hell. While there, the boy wanders through the streets of Hell, and there are all these ghosts and skeletons walking around. There is a skeleton mom with a little skeleton boy, and she is running around doing errands very busily when the little boy skeleton spots the real live little boy and screams. When his mother stops and asks what’s wrong, the skeleton boy explains and points to the little boy. The mother looks at him, but doesn’t see anything. And she scolds her son, exclaiming: “You know there’s no such thing as humans!”

there’s a tradition in islam that since we can’t see djinn in our world, they won’t be able to see us in the next world!
