This morning I dreamt of a weird epidemic which was sweeping the nation. People were kind of just going crazy in public. The thing in particular that I remember was standing by the side of road, while a car driven by a young women edged up to this cliff. The girl driving paused, and then just drove over the edge, condemning her and her passengers to death. I saw this same scene played out by two other young female drivers in similar situations elsewhere in the dream. And I remember looking down the cliff after her, and seeing the road far below in total chaos. Before she’d even committed vehicular suicide, the people down below had been crashing into one another, and getting out of their cars to roam the streets. Since I’d been travelling recently on the East Coast (in my dream and real life), I knew firsthand that these scenes were playing themselves out across the country, but that they weren’t being correlated to one another. Local news stations were reporting them, but nobody was looking at the overall pattern. So I decided it was up to me to put all the pieces together and break the story on the internet.

Lemmings!
This reminds me of this dream I had a week ago.
on occasion i have car crash dreams. to me they symbolise lack of contol, or putting too much energy into attaining control. it may mean something different to you.
alistair, i’d tend to agree in general. although the weird part was that i was not in the car or driving, and it was linked to females in the dream. so i dont feel like whatever it is is lack of control … not over my own life at least.
This is so funny! I was going to comment:
One word:
Lemmings!
If you’ve sat in an urban traffic jam you know we’re almost there . . .
Ever seen David Cronenberg’s “Crash”? (I know you saw the OTHER movie of the same name, but Cronenberg’s is MUCH more sick and twisted)
The movie was based on J.G. Ballard’s novel. It’s about car caarsh fetishists.
